The Tremeloes

Alternative rock
Alternative rock

The Tremeloes is a Alternative rock act. Their sound grew out of The Idle Race, Sounds of Silence, F.R. David, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and The Four Seasons. Those roots explain a lot about how The Tremeloes arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Georgie Fame, Paul Jones, Manfred Mann, Herman's Hermits and Paul Revere & The Raiders, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Marmalade, Zdravko Čolić, Eric Woolfson, Chesney Hawkes and Christie, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around The Tremeloes, reaching back through The Idle Race and forward to The Marmalade. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
