Lucy Rose

Lucy Rose is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Adele, Kwes. and The Paper Kites. Those roots explain a lot about how Lucy Rose arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Billie Marten, The Staves, Daughter, Fenne Lily and Benjamin Francis Leftwich, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bombay Bicycle Club, Manic Street Preachers, Paul Weller, Mumford & Sons and Tom Odell, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Lucy Rose, reaching back through Neil Young and forward to Bombay Bicycle Club. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
