Maybeshewill is a Post-rock act. Their sound grew out of 65daysofstatic, Mogwai and Sigur Rós. Those roots explain a lot about how Maybeshewill arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sleepmakeswaves, pg.lost, Caspian, If These Trees Could Talk and Tides From Nebula, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into We Lost the Sea, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 12 connections around Maybeshewill, reaching back through 65daysofstatic and forward to We Lost the Sea.
