Michel'le

Michel'le is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Ruthless Records, Ricardo Montaner and N.W.A. Those roots explain a lot about how Michel'le arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Al B. Sure!, SWV, Keith Sweat, Miki Howard and Shai, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The D.O.C., where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Michel'le, reaching back through Dr. Dre and forward to The D.O.C.. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
