Moneen is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker and Billy Talent. Those roots explain a lot about how Moneen arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Early November, Further Seems Forever, Piebald, The Get Up Kids and The Starting Line, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Sheepdogs, Alexisonfire, Say Anything, Brand New and Sparta, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Moneen, reaching back through Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker and forward to The Sheepdogs. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
