Pritam is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Ali Zafar, Wang Leehom and Vishal Dadlani. Those roots explain a lot about how Pritam arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Vishal-Shekhar, Sachin-Jigar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Atif Aslam and Tanishk Bagchi, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Kunal Ganjawala, Sachin-Jigar, Jonita Gandhi and Monali Thakur, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Pritam, reaching back through Ali Zafar and forward to Kunal Ganjawala. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
