Rubén Juárez is a Tango act. Their sound grew out of Julio Sosa and Aníbal Troilo. Those roots explain a lot about how Rubén Juárez arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Tita Merello, Enrique Santos Discépolo, Lidia Borda, Mercedes Simone and Osvaldo Fresedo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Charly García, Leopoldo Federico and Pedro Aznar, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 12 connections around Rubén Juárez, reaching back through Julio Sosa and forward to Charly García.
