◇ image via WikipediaShort Stack
Short Stack is a Emo act. Their sound grew out of The Vamps and Good Charlotte. Those roots explain a lot about how Short Stack arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Thirsty Merc, Rogue Traders, Eskimo Joe, Cold Chisel and The Living End, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Veronicas, The Getaway Plan, The Living End, Kisschasy and New Empire, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 39 connections around Short Stack, reaching back through The Vamps and forward to The Veronicas.
