SMERZ

SMERZ is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Clairo. Those roots explain a lot about how SMERZ arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as James K, ML Buch, Astrid Sonne, Tirzah and SASSY 009, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 16 connections around SMERZ, reaching back through Clairo. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
