The Halo Effect is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Rush. Those roots explain a lot about how The Halo Effect arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dark Tranquillity, Insomnium, Parasite Inc., Mors Principium Est and Soilwork, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Amon Amarth, Machine Head and The Black Dahlia Murder, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 13 connections around The Halo Effect, reaching back through Rush and forward to Amon Amarth. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
