Soilwork

Soilwork is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Pantera, Meshuggah, Carcass, Jinjer and Dark Tranquillity. Those roots explain a lot about how Soilwork arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Disarmonia Mundi, Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Insomnium and Mors Principium Est, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Disarmonia Mundi, Chimaira, Sonic Syndicate, Bleeding Through and Killswitch Engage, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Soilwork, reaching back through Pantera and forward to Disarmonia Mundi. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
