The Natural Four is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Curtis Mayfield, The Temptations and Leroy Hutson. They run in the same orbit as Blue Magic, Side Effect, The Moments, The Dells and Donny Hathaway, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into TWENTY88, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around The Natural Four, reaching back through Curtis Mayfield and forward to TWENTY88.
