Blue Magic

Blue Magic is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Stylistics, Ray, Goodman & Brown, Margie Joseph, The Delfonics and The Main Ingredient. Those roots explain a lot about how Blue Magic arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Manhattans, The Dells, The Spinners, The Dramatics and Major Harris, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Big Daddy Kane, Mick Jagger, The Rolling Stones, The Manhattans and The Notorious B.I.G., where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around Blue Magic, reaching back through The Stylistics and forward to Big Daddy Kane. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
