The Psychedelic Furs

The Psychedelic Furs is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Sound, Roman Candle and Don Letts. Those roots explain a lot about how The Psychedelic Furs arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Tubeway Army, Adam and the Ants, The Cure and The Fixx, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Scarling., The Power Station, Greg Laswell, Lifetime and The Mission, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 24 connections around The Psychedelic Furs, reaching back through The Sound and forward to Scarling.. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
