The Fixx

The Fixx is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Alarm and Rupert Hine. Those roots explain a lot about how The Fixx arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Thompson Twins, Naked Eyes, Wang Chung, ABC and The Cars, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Wrens, Tina Turner, Nancy Sinatra, Roxy Music and The Vibrators, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around The Fixx, reaching back through The Alarm and forward to The Wrens. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
