The Tea Party

The Tea Party is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Rhys Fulber, Roy Harper, Joy Division, Morrissey and Sloan. Those roots explain a lot about how The Tea Party arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as I Mother Earth, Our Lady Peace, Big Wreck, Matthew Good and Thornley, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Our Lady Peace, Conjure One and Intwine, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around The Tea Party, reaching back through Rhys Fulber and forward to Our Lady Peace. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
