X-Perience is a World music act. Their sound grew out of Groove Coverage, Visage, Joachim Witt, Mike Oldfield and Pet Shop Boys. Those roots explain a lot about how X-Perience arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Lian Ross, E-Type, Mr. President, 2 Unlimited and E-Rotic, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Cascada, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 24 connections around X-Perience, reaching back through Groove Coverage and forward to Cascada.
