(Forward)" attracted attention for its aggressive content, charting at number 11 despite being banned from airplay and clubs. Costadinos Contostavlos, better known by his stage name Dappy, is an English rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. He is the lead singer of the Camden-based hip-hop and grime trio N-Dubz, with his cousin Tulisa and Fazer. He was known for his love for what he describes as "eye-catching headwear". His trademark was wearing a selection of woolly chullos, turning up one or both of the ear-flaps of the hat.

He released his debut studio album, Rebel with a Cause, via independent record label Disrupt on 9 March 2014. Known for his hard hitting lyrics and intricate rhyme schemes, he is associated and has toured internationally with such acts as Kano and was a member of N.A.S.T.Y. Crew.
