Professor Green

Hip hop
Hip hopUK garage

Professor Green is a Hip hop and UK garage act. Their sound grew out of Plan B, Fink, Our Version of Events, Popek and Flux of Pink Indians. Those roots explain a lot about how Professor Green arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Wretch 32, Lethal Bizzle, Example, Bugzy Malone and Stormzy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Maverick Sabre, Camo & Krooked and Labrinth, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 43 connections around Professor Green, reaching back through Plan B and forward to Maverick Sabre. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
