Omkar Prasad Nayyar was an Indian film music composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, and musician. He is considered as one of the most rhythmic and melodious music directors of the Indian cinema. He won Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for Naya Daur in 1958. Nayyar worked extensively with singers Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi. He also worked with Kishore Kumar in the films like Baap Re Baap (1955) and Raagini (1958), which was one of Kumar hits in the characteristic "O. P. style".

Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma. In their career span, stretching from 1963 to 1998, they composed music for about 750 movies, working with several prominent film-makers.

Sachin Dev Burman was an Indian music director and singer. He was a member of the Tripura royal family. He started his career with Bengali films in 1937. Babul Supriya Baral is an Indian playback singer, live performer, television host, actor and politician who currently serves as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from West Bengal. He previously served as Cabinet Minister of Information Technology and Electronics of the Government of West Bengal from 2024 till 2026. He was elected Member of Parliament from Asansol in the 16th and 17th Lok Sabha and also served as the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in the Union Council of Ministers. He officially resigned as MP on 19 October 2021 and was elected as a Member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on 16 April 2022 from Ballygunge Assembly seat.

Jaspinder Narula is an Indian singer of playback, classical and Sufi music. She is known for her work in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. She shot to fame after the duet "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha" with Remo Fernandes from the 1998 film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha for which she won the 1999 Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer. The other notable films she has sung in include Mission Kashmir, Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Bunty Aur Babli. She is also a singer of Sufi music, as well as Gurbani and other Sikh religious music. She has sung in a Hindi Music video "Maula Ali Ali" with Mudasir Ali. In 2008, she won the title of India's Best Live Performer in the NDTV Imagine singing reality series, Dhoom Macha De (2008).

Madanamohana is an epithet of the Hindu deity Krishna. It translates as, "he whose charm (mohana) bewilders even the god of love (madana)". The epithet describes the powerful nature of the attraction for the deity from his devotees, exemplified by the legend of the rasalila, where the gopis (cowherdesses) of the region Vraja abandon all their obligations to answer the call of Krishna. The epithet is also identified with the form of the deity worshipped by Sanatana Goswami of the Gaudiya tradition at Vrindavan.

Vijay Shah, popularly known as Viju Shah, is an Indian composer in the Hindi film industry. He is the son of Kalyanji Virji Shah, one-half of the composer duo Kalyanji–Anandji.

Shankar–Jaikishan, consisting of Shankar Singh Ram Singh Raghuvanshi and Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal, also known as S-J, were an Indian composer duo of the Hindi film industry, who worked together from 1949 to 1971. They are widely considered to be the greatest music composers of the Hindi film industry. From 1949 until Jaikishan's death in 1971, they composed musical scores for 136 films, introducing a new level of orchestral richness in film music. S-J collaborated with legendary singers such as Mukesh (singer), Mohammed Rafi, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Talat Mahmood, Lata Mangeshkar, Suman Kalyanpur, Asha Bhosle and Sharda (singer). They also worked extensively with lyricists Shailendra (lyricist) and Hasrat Jaipuri, with whom they created some of the most memorable songs in their career.

Kalyanji–Anandji were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Kalyanji Virji Shah and his brother Anandji Virji Shah. In a career spanning over forty years, they composed music for about 250 films, working with many well-known filmmakers and singers.

Shantanu Moitra is an Indian pianist, score composer and musician who has composed songs for the Hindi film industry, and is most known for his scores in the films Parineeta (2005), Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2005), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006) and 3 Idiots (2009), and private albums, Mann ke Manjeere and Ab ke Saawan sung by Shubha Mudgal. In 2014, he received the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for Na Bangaaru Talli.

Mohammed Rafi was an Indian playback singer. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Rafi was notable for his versatility and range of voice; his songs varied from fast, peppy numbers to patriotic songs, sad numbers to highly romantic songs, qawwalis to ghazals and bhajans to classical songs. He was known for his ability to mould his voice to the persona and style of the actor lip-syncing the song on screen in the movie. He received six Filmfare Awards and one National Film Award in India. In 1967, the Government of India honored him with the fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri. In 2001, Rafi was honoured with the "Best Singer of the Millennium" title by Hero Honda and Stardust magazine. In 2013, Rafi was voted for the Greatest Voice in Hindi Cinema in a CNN-IBN poll.

Anand Raaj Anand is an Indian composer, lyricist and playback singer in the Hindi film industry. He was nominated for the Best Music Director Filmfare Award for Kaante in 2003.

Kishore Kumar was an Indian playback singer, musician and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of Indian music. Kumar was one of the most popular singers in the Indian subcontinent, notable for his yodelling and ability to sing songs in different voices. He used to sing in different genres but some of his rare compositions, considered classics, were lost in time. In 2013, Kumar was voted "The Most Popular Male Playback Singer" in a poll conducted by the Filmfare magazine.
