Mi Reflejo is the second studio album and first Spanish-language album by American singer Christina Aguilera. It was released on September 12, 2000, as a joint effort between RCA Records and BMG U.S. Latin. After the commercial success of her first album, Christina Aguilera (1999), Aguilera recorded her follow-up project during 2000. It includes five Spanish-language versions of tracks from her previous album, in addition to four original compositions and two cover songs. The tracks were adapted and composed by Rudy Pérez who also produced the album.

"Waiting for Tonight" is a song written by Maria Christensen, Michael Garvin and Phil Temple. It was originally recorded by Christensen's girl group 3rd Party for their debut studio album, Alive (1997). Two years after the group disbanded, American singer Jennifer Lopez recorded her own version of the song for her debut studio album, On the 6 (1999). Ric Wake and Richie Jones produced Lopez's Hispanic house version of "Waiting for Tonight", which differs from the German-sounding Europop version that was recorded by 3rd Party. A Spanish version of the song, entitled "Una Noche Más", was adapted by Manny Benito and also recorded for the album. "Waiting for Tonight" was released on September 7, 1999, by the Work Group, as the third single from On the 6.

Arrasando is the seventh studio album by Mexican singer Thalía, released on 25 April 2000, by EMI Latin. She collaborated with producers like Emilio Estefan, Roberto Blades and Lawrence Dermer. In many interviews during the album launch, Thalía said that this album was different from her previous ones, because it shows her turn to a more dance/techno-influenced sound, describing it as a fusion between many types of music. Thalía co-wrote eight songs on the album, in addition, it includes two covers: the South African hit "Pata Pata" and Gloria Estefan's "Lucky Girl".

"Las de la Intuición" is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira from her sixth studio album Fijación Oral Vol. 1 (2005). It was produced by the singer with Lester Mendez serving as an assistant producer, with its lyrics being written by the singer and its music co-composed by the singer and Luis Fernando Ochoa. It was sent to Spanish radio stations on 24 February 2007, as the fourth and final single from the album. "Las de la Intuición" is a synth-pop and Euro house track whose lyrics talk about female intuition. It received mostly positive reviews from music critics, who commended its lyrical content and production. The track was a commercial success in Spain, topping the Airplay chart, and entering the top ten on the Downloads and Original Tones charts, all published by the Productores de Música de España (PROMUSICAE). It received a five-times Platinum certification by the organization for 100,000 ringtones sold, and became the song of the summer of the country in 2007. Elsewhere, it entered the charts in Russia and Venezuela.

"I Was Gonna Cancel" is a song by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, released as the second and final single from her twelfth studio album Kiss Me Once. The track was written and produced by American recording artist, songwriter and producer Pharrell Williams who she met while in Los Angeles, California. It was released in the United Kingdom on 11 May 2014 and a day later in the United States.
