Murder by Death is an American six-piece indie rock band from Bloomington, Indiana. Their name is derived from the 1976 Robert Moore film of the same name.

Victory Records was a Chicago-based record label founded by Tony Brummel. It operates a music publishing company called "Another Victory, Inc." and is the distributor of several record labels. It has featured many prominent artists including Thursday, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Streetlight Manifesto, and A Day to Remember.

Rival Schools is an American post-hardcore band from New York City, New York. For most of their tenure, the band has featured Walter Schreifels on vocals and guitar, Ian Love on guitar, Cache Tolman on bass guitar, and Sam Siegler on drums.

Portugal. The Man is an American rock band from Wasilla, Alaska and based in Portland, Oregon. The group currently consists of founding member John Baldwin Gourley, joined by a group of touring musicians for live performances. Gourley and co-founding bassist Zach Carothers met and began playing music together in 2001 at Wasilla High School.

"Ný batterí" is a song by Sigur Rós, released as the second single from their album Ágætis byrjun in May 2000. The first track is an extended brass intro for "Ný batterí", followed by the title track. "Bíum bíum bambaló" is a traditional Icelandic lullaby, while "Dánarfregnir og jarðarfarir" was a theme used in Iceland for death announcements on radio. The third and fourth tracks also appear on the Angels of the Universe soundtrack.

The Nation of Ulysses was an American punk rock band from Washington, D.C., formed in spring 1988 with four members. Originally known as simply Ulysses, the first mark of the group consisted of Ian Svenonius on vocals and trumpet, Steve Kroner on guitar, Steve Gamboa on bass guitar, and James Canty on drums. Tim Green joined the band late in 1989 as a guitarist and the band became "Nation of Ulysses." Nation of Ulysses disbanded in the autumn of 1992, having failed to complete their third album. After the breakup, Svenonius, Canty, and Gamboa went on to form the short-lived Cupid Car Club and The Make-Up. Tim Green went on to join The Young Ginns, The Fucking Champs, and later Concentrick, a solo project with a focus on ambient music.
