Anthony B is a Reggae act. Their sound grew out of The Maytals, John Lennon, Jah Mason, Junior Kelly and Ini Kamoze. Those roots explain a lot about how Anthony B arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sizzla, Alborosie, Junior Kelly, Tarrus Riley and Turbulence, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Yossi Fine, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 36 connections around Anthony B, reaching back through The Maytals and forward to Yossi Fine.
