John Lennon is a Alternative rock and Pop act. Their catalogue also touches Psychedelic rock and Rock. Their sound grew out of Fillmore East – June 1971, Here's Little Richard, Carnival of Light, Rock Your Baby and Pee Wee Crayton. Those roots explain a lot about how John Lennon arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Beatles, John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Wings, Paul McCartney & Wings and Badfinger, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Lee Rocker, Gomez, Sound Affects, Blues Traveler and Delbert McClinton, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 207 connections around John Lennon, reaching back through Fillmore East – June 1971 and forward to Lee Rocker. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
