Blood Ceremony

Doom metal
Doom metalPsychedelic rock

Blood Ceremony is a Doom metal and Psychedelic rock act. Their sound grew out of Rise Above Records, Fairport Convention, Lee Dorrian, Jethro Tull and Black Sabbath. Those roots explain a lot about how Blood Ceremony arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Purson, Witchcraft, The Devil's Blood, Green Lung and Saint Vitus, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ghost, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Blood Ceremony, reaching back through Rise Above Records and forward to Ghost. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
