Bobby is a Hip hop act. Their sound grew out of Broken Social Scene, Tablo, Mountain Man, Dok2 and Verbal Jint. Those roots explain a lot about how Bobby arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Zico, CHANGMO, Coogie, Block B and BE'O, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Mountain Man, Wild Beasts and Simply Red, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Bobby, reaching back through Broken Social Scene and forward to Mountain Man.
