Dok2 is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Drunken Tiger, Dynamic Duo, Epik High and Babylon. Those roots explain a lot about how Dok2 arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Quiett, Supreme Team, Basick, GIRIBOY and Kid Milli, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Beenzino, The Quiett, GroovyRoom, G-DRAGON and Bobby, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Dok2, reaching back through Drunken Tiger and forward to Beenzino. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
