Deceased

Death metal
Death metal

Deceased is a Death metal act. Their sound grew out of Slayer. Those roots explain a lot about how Deceased arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dismember, Malevolent Creation, Cancer, Possessed and Agressor, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Relapse Records and Pungent Stench, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 12 connections around Deceased, reaching back through Slayer and forward to Relapse Records. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
