Malevolent Creation

Death metal
Death metal

Malevolent Creation is a Death metal act. Their sound grew out of Rotting Christ, Mick Thomson, Slowly We Rot, Slayer and Kreator. Those roots explain a lot about how Malevolent Creation arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sinister, Monstrosity, Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel and Cancer, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Cannibal Corpse, Marduk, Immolation, Suffocation and Origin, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Malevolent Creation, reaching back through Rotting Christ and forward to Cannibal Corpse. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
