DJ Fresh is a Drum and bass act. Their sound grew out of Ayah Marar, Kosheen, Adam F, Benga and Brick & Lace. Those roots explain a lot about how DJ Fresh arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as High Contrast, Andy C, Wilkinson, Sigma and Friction, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Diplo, Sigma, Camo & Krooked and Sigala, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around DJ Fresh, reaching back through Ayah Marar and forward to Diplo.
