Eldritch is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Pain of Salvation, Metallica, Annihilator, Machine Head and Pantera. Those roots explain a lot about how Eldritch arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Evergrey, Symphony X, Threshold, Iron Savior and Sanctuary, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Threshold and Pain of Salvation, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 16 connections around Eldritch, reaching back through Pain of Salvation and forward to Threshold. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
