Enon is a Rap and Rock act. Their sound grew out of The Van Pelt, Holy Fuck, Brainiac and Blonde Redhead. Those roots explain a lot about how Enon arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Brainiac, Self, Quasi, Plumtree and Les Savy Fav, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dennis Lyxzén, Holy Fuck, Girls Against Boys, Broke with Expensive Taste and Les Savy Fav, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Enon, reaching back through The Van Pelt and forward to Dennis Lyxzén.
