Falkenbach is a Black metal act. Their sound grew out of No Colours Records, Napalm Records, Bathory and Possessed. Those roots explain a lot about how Falkenbach arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Windir, Borknagar, Gallowbraid, Bathory and Black Messiah, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bewitched, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 14 connections around Falkenbach, reaching back through No Colours Records and forward to Bewitched.
