Jagged Edge is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of PJ Morton, My Girl, LaTavia Roberson and Voltio. Those roots explain a lot about how Jagged Edge arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Donell Jones, Dru Hill, Jaheim, Tyrese and Joe, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into DAY26, Dondria, ATL, Ann Marie and LeToya Luckett, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Jagged Edge, reaching back through PJ Morton and forward to DAY26.
