Jam Baxter is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Aesop Rock. Those roots explain a lot about how Jam Baxter arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Ocean Wisdom, Jehst, Foreign Beggars, Lewis Parker and Illogic, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Verb T, The Four Owls, Kae Tempest and Jehst, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Jam Baxter, reaching back through Aesop Rock and forward to Verb T.
