Killers

Heavy metal

Killers is a Heavy metal act. Their sound grew out of Oasis, New Order, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen and Dire Straits. Those roots explain a lot about how Killers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Paul Di'Anno, Y&T, Virgin Steele, Angel Witch and Savatage, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into U2, Coldplay and Robbie Williams, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 17 connections around Killers, reaching back through Oasis and forward to U2. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
