They run in the same orbit as Songs: Ohia, Palace Music, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Uncle Tupelo and Greg Freeman, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Horse Jumper of Love, Kevin Morby, Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman and The Avett Brothers, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation.
