Meg Myers is a Indie rock act. Their sound grew out of Alanis Morissette, Joan Osborne, Kate Bush, Cavo and Sting. Those roots explain a lot about how Meg Myers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as PVRIS, Zella Day, Mothica, Gin Wigmore and Kaleida, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into alt-J and Broods, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 36 connections around Meg Myers, reaching back through Alanis Morissette and forward to alt-J.
