Bishop Briggs is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Bleachers, MisterWives, Joywave and The Beatles. Those roots explain a lot about how Bishop Briggs arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dennis Lloyd, Elle King, Gin Wigmore, Bea Miller and Zella Day, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Teyana Taylor, Yeji, Coldplay, Kaleo and Cold War Kids, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Bishop Briggs, reaching back through Bleachers and forward to Teyana Taylor. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
