They run in the same orbit as Andrzej Zaucha, Billy Cobham, Lonnie Liston Smith, Roy Ayers Ubiquity and Lenny White, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Urszula Dudziak, Jean-Luc Ponty, Tomasz Stańko, Czesław Niemen and Oliver Nelson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation.
