Moor Mother

Moor Mother is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Eartheater. Those roots explain a lot about how Moor Mother arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as E L U C I D, Yasiin Bey, Billy Woods, Quelle Chris and Rapsody, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Armand Hammer, Screaming Females, Algiers, Show Me the Body and Lushlife, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Moor Mother, reaching back through Eartheater and forward to Armand Hammer. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
