Nando Reis is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Alice Cooper, O Terno, Tulipa Ruiz, Canto dos Malditos na Terra do Nunca and Elza Soares. Those roots explain a lot about how Nando Reis arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Cássia Eller, Jota Quest, Capital Inicial, Lulu Santos and Os Paralamas Do Sucesso, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Jota Quest, R.E.M., Wanessa Camargo, Samuel Rosa and Skank, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around Nando Reis, reaching back through Alice Cooper and forward to Jota Quest. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
