Nico & Vinz

Afrobeat
AfrobeatRhythm and blues

Nico & Vinz is a Afrobeat and Rhythm and blues act. Their sound grew out of Saint Jhn. Those roots explain a lot about how Nico & Vinz arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Rixton, Taio Cruz, MKTO, Rock City and Iyaz, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into David Guetta, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Emmanuel Jal, Kid Ink and Bebe Rexha, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Nico & Vinz, reaching back through Saint Jhn and forward to David Guetta. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
