Coldrain is a Emo and Punk rock act. Their catalogue also touches Rap. Their sound grew out of Pay Money to My Pain, SiM, Don't Speak, Sevendust and Paramore. Those roots explain a lot about how Coldrain arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Survive Said The Prophet, MY FIRST STORY, Pay Money to My Pain, Crossfaith and One Ok Rock, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Survive Said The Prophet, avengers in sci-fi, SiM, Pay Money to My Pain and Maximum the Hormone, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Coldrain, reaching back through Pay Money to My Pain and forward to Survive Said The Prophet. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
