Orelsan

Orelsan is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Gims, Stromae, The Toxic Avenger, Eminem and Diam's. Those roots explain a lot about how Orelsan arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Casseurs Flowters, Nekfeu, Lomepal, Bigflo & Oli and Georgio, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bigflo & Oli, Sexion d'Assaut and Josman, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Orelsan, reaching back through Gims and forward to Bigflo & Oli. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
