Parkway Drive

Heavy metal
Heavy metal

Parkway Drive is a Heavy metal act. Their sound grew out of A Day to Remember, I Killed the Prom Queen, The Word Alive, Comeback Kid and Northlane. Those roots explain a lot about how Parkway Drive arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Ghost Inside, As I Lay Dying, I Killed the Prom Queen, All That Remains and Miss May I, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Architects, Conquer Divide and Bring Me the Horizon, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Parkway Drive, reaching back through A Day to Remember and forward to Architects. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
