Those roots explain a lot about how Unearth arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Darkest Hour, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Bleeding Through and God Forbid, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bleeding Through, Miss May I, The Ghost Inside, Winds of Plague and Terror, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around Unearth, reaching back through Slapshot and forward to Bleeding Through. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
