Peaches & Herb is a Disco act. Their sound grew out of Rare Earth, Van McCoy and The Intruders. Those roots explain a lot about how Peaches & Herb arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Hues Corporation, Alicia Bridges, A Taste of Honey, Tavares and Rose Royce, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Faith No More, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around Peaches & Herb, reaching back through Rare Earth and forward to Faith No More.
