Peggy Gou is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Moodymann, DJ Koze, The Blessed Madonna and Lenny Kravitz. Those roots explain a lot about how Peggy Gou arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Yaeji, PAWSA, Mall Grab, The Blessed Madonna and Paradis, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ayra Starr, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 29 connections around Peggy Gou, reaching back through Moodymann and forward to Ayra Starr. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
