The Blessed Madonna

The Blessed Madonna is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Suzanne Vega, Soulwax, Mariya Takeuchi, Cold Heart (Pnau remix) and Dua Lipa. Those roots explain a lot about how The Blessed Madonna arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Jamie Jones, Nathan Dawe, Salute, MK and Fred again.., sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dua Lipa, Madonna, Missy Elliott, Mark Ronson and Gwen Stefani, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 43 connections around The Blessed Madonna, reaching back through Suzanne Vega and forward to Dua Lipa. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
